Youth & Young Adults Team
Aim: To have great fun, build community and equip youth and young adults to find and follow Jesus.
Responsibilities:
Depending on which area you would like to serve in your responsibilities may differ. Below is an overview of some of the responsibilities of the role.
- Be willing to talk about your faith and the Nextsteps take to grow your faith.
- Preparing well and carefully for each session, then commit your session to God
- Be on time for the session you are serving in
- Be part of the set up team or set down team depending on which service you are serving in
- Be a role model for the Next Generation.
Time commitment
Twice a month is our ideal. Young people love consistency, and it helps them feel safe and helps us build trust with them. If you can’t commit to twice a month, we would still love to explore how you can still serve on a regular rota
What does ‘winning’ look like for this role?
Our overall win for the Youth is: To help young people to find and follow Jesus.
How we know we are winning:
- Young people are taking Nextsteps in their faith journey (sharing their story, reading the bible)
- They are inviting friends.
- We are having fruitful conversations
- Young people taking part when they usually don’t
Responsibilities:
- Be on time for the session (Fridays 6:45pm to 9pm)
- Be willing to talk about your faith and the next steps taken to grow your faith
- Preparing well and carefully for each session, then commit your session to God
- Be a role model for the Next Generation.

- Young people are enjoying Friday Night Youth sessions
- Young people are taking next steps towards coming on a Sunday or Midweek connect group
- They are inviting friends
- We are having fruitful conversations
- Young people taking part when they usually don’t
Responsibilities:
- Be on time for the session (Thursdays 7.15-9pm)
- Be willing to talk about your faith and the next steps taken to grow your faith
- Preparing well and carefully for each session, then commit your session to God
- Be part of one-off events and away days
